From year to year, the Festival has grown in terms of the artistic offer and also in the number of participants, becoming a nationally relevant event. Teatri Riflessi made its debut in the courtyard of the Benedictine Monastery of Catania in 2009.
In 2010, Cortile Platamone hosted exhibitions, workshops, installations, booths, and the competition of the 2nd edition of the festival.
The third edition was held at the congress centre ‘Le Ciminiere’ in Catania. Environmental sustainability was the main theme promoted.
In its fourth edition, Teatri Riflessi went back to the Benedictine Monastery of Catania, where the Department of Human Sciences of the University of Catania is now based.
The same location was chosen again for the fifth edition in 2013.
The sixth edition in 2015, enriched with forums, discussions, displays, and various artistic events, registered around 3.000 visitors.
After the pandemic, the seventh edition in 2022 turned the event into an international festival and moved it to Zafferana Etnea.
