Born in Rimini in 1971, I started taking photographs at the age of 8. Photography has accompanied my entire life as an increasingly personal and intimate form of expression—an art form that allows me to communicate my own emotions and those of others, a reality to retreat into as a form of defense. I graduated in architecture from Florence in 2002. For many years, I focused on industrial archaeology, conducting extensive research for a book I subsequently published on brick kilns. Since 2000, I began directing my interest toward dance photography, and over the years, it was in that world that I found my personal reality, to the point of taking dance theater classes myself and collaborating, naturally as a photographer, with top-tier professional dancers. Among the artists and dance companies I have had the honor and pleasure of photographing are Giuseppe Picone, Letizia Giuliani, Svetlana Zakharova, the Antonio Gades Dance Company, MaggioDanza, the Kiev Ballet, Aterballetto, and many others. Since 2014, I have been increasingly involved in filmmaking. Since 2016, my video production has focused almost exclusively on dance, with the creation of several short films. In 2019, I moved to Sardinia, a land of great inspiration, where I have produced a large part of my screendance works.
