What purpose do statues in public squares serve? How did they get there? When we walk through the streets of our city, we do not have time to ask ourselves too many questions; we look for our way without having to think about who chose the names of the streets. Yet, someone did choose the names of the streets, someone chose to place these illustrious characters of marble and bronze right there. A monument exists because someone built it, and they did so with a precise intention: they wanted to communicate something, they wanted to speak to us, to tell us a History. A History with a capital H among all possible stories: those in uppercase and those in lowercase. The workshop aims to give space to these Histories, stimulating critical thinking and curiosity as tools for cultural growth and active citizenship.
