July August September. A Rhyming Book for an Extraordinary Year

PIPPO SCUDERO

In every calendar there are days, and there are names.
But have you ever tried to imagine who is behind each name — what they look like, what job they do?
There are so many names, each one different from the next, and so many professions, all unique — definitely more than a thousand!

I had to choose only 365 — one for each day of the year — and it wasn’t easy: have you ever seen two calendars that are exactly the same? I haven’t!
So I picked a couple of pocket calendars (so I could always carry them with me while writing the rhymes in a notebook), and I tried to avoid repetitions by using some nicknames for similar names.
Sometimes I let rhymes or quirky professions guide me.

That’s how my calendar was born, and what you’re about to read is the third volume, which collects as many names and professions as there are days in July, August, and September.

AGE RANGE: 3–9 years
PUBLISHER: Splen
