In a sweltering summer room, adults rediscover fragments of their childhood: a child wearing their mother’s clothes, a sibling journey filled with conflict, love, and the longing to be one another—games that transform the everyday into fantasy.
The music, a blend of Mediterranean tradition and modern compositions, guides the bodies in a dance that weaves together the real and the imagined, the ancient and the contemporary. Adriano Popolo Rubbio, born in 1993, is a dancer, choreographer, and costume designer. Since 2020, he has been working with the company Komoco under the direction of Sofia Nappi, with whom he has won international awards as a performer and collaborator. Previously, he danced with the company Zappalà Danza, taking part in numerous productions.
Since 2018, he has also worked as a choreographic assistant and teacher at international festivals and institutions. He has created original choreographic works and site-specific projects, as well as designing costumes for dance performances, film, and fashion.
