In Sovraccarico, a participatory dance project, the audience places weights on the dancer’s body, directly influencing their movement.
Each choice made reflects the responsibility we all bear in shaping and affecting others.

Choreography and Set Concept: Damiano Scavo

Damiano is a dancer and choreographer from Catania. Since 2017, he has performed with Ocram Dance Movement, which produces his works in collaboration with Scenario Pubblico. In 2023, he joined Compagnia Zappalà Danza.
His training includes Biennale College Danza, Modem Pro, Nuove Traiettorie XL – an initiative of the Anticorpi XL Network, Danza Urbana, and C.I.M.D. He also studies Set Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania. He made his debut as a choreographer with Cactus (2021), followed by Sovraccarico and Il Giullare (2024). He also works as a set designer and theatre text author.
