‘B.O.A.T.S (based on a true story)’ tells the story of a real friendship made of memories, emotions, and moments—lived or imagined—that become true through storytelling. It’s a journey through absurd, tender, intense, and funny episodes, a path of rediscovery and growth when two souls meet and begin to care for one another.

This work was supported by the Batsheva Dance Company and premiered at the Tel Aviv Dance Festival, directed by Naomi Perlov.
Billy Barry (NY) and Gianni Notarnicola (Puglia) began their collaboration while dancing with the Batsheva Dance Company. From their dialogue, a unique language emerged. After several individual creations, they premiered B.O.A.T.S in 2022, followed by G.O.A.T.S in 2023, both presented at festivals and theatres across Israel, Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy.
