Madli is an Estonian film director, writer, editor, and lecturer. Madli’s dance film DEAR PASSENGERS (2022) won the Best Short Film at the National Film Industry Awards EFTA, Screendance Award at Leeds International Film Festival in UK, Second Award in MOVES Competition at Short Waves Festival in Poland, Special Jury Mention at Cinedans FEST in Netherlands, Best Choreography for the Screen Award at ZED Festival in Italy and Best Director and Audience Awards at FuoriFormato in Italy among others. YES! is her second dance film and is part of the collection DANCE + CITY. Madli holds an MFA in Film and Media Production from the University of Texas at Austin, USA (2017). She graduated as an editor from ifs international filmschool cologne in 2007 and has since worked as a freelance film editor.
