The conversation between Gaia Clotilde Chernetich and Alessandro Pontremoli aims to explore the contemporary scene in search of accessibility practices to bring to light.
Gaia Clotilde Chernetich is a dance dramaturg, author, and performing arts scholar. After studying at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales and Université Paris 3 / École Normale Supérieure, she earned a PhD in Humanities and Dance from the University of Parma and Université Côte d’Azur, specialising in the epistemology of the contemporary performing arts.
She has conducted research in the performing arts with a particular focus on memory politics and the transmission of embodied knowledge. She has curated training projects for audiences and knowledge dissemination of dance, ballet, and theatre at festivals and theatres in Italy and abroad.
She writes for Italian and international cultural magazines, including Doppiozero and Springback Magazine.
