Martina Gambardella
points and parts are vibrating along the edges
freeing lines of movement
renewing the infinite desire to disappear
here identities and circuits are suspended
the body grips itself as a molten polycentric
pluriform structure
matter unravels
finally heavy
finally present

The exhibition collects the graphic material elaborated during the creation process of Mute.
The tracings are offered as an extension of the body research and arise from the desire to initiate a process of movement notation, observing its propagation and investigating how it creates and transforms space.
Here, movement is translated into a visual sign, allowing the body to slip through dissolutions and transfigurations, and inclining perception and gaze towards possible extensions and abstractions.
Active in the field of contemporary dance, Martina explores the space of the body through the relationship with other people and the places she inhabits. She trained in Leeds at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and in Milan at the International Center for Movement and Dance, obtaining a Post-Graduate Diploma in Developing Artistic Practice in London in 2016.
